5. PK Afternoons for rising 5’s
- Our Big PK sessions give older children quiet directed sessions, concentrating on activities planned to prepare children for Reception Class. Activities include PE, not only for physical development, but also to ensure children can dress themselves and look after their belongings.
- ‘Big Book’ work concentrates on Pre-writing and maths skills, and teaches children to finish a piece of work.
- Pre-reading skills are promoted in the book corner with longer stories, and with word and picture games, flashcards, rhyme, rhythm and phonic work, and lots of discussion.
